Jul 29, 2020 Once the window opens up, click on Keychain Access in the menu bar and choose “Preferences” from the dropdown menu. This will open a new pop-up window on your screen. Click on “Reset My Default Keychain” to proceed further. Now, you’ll be asked to enter your current macOS user password.

  2. The login keychain and keychain password don't have to be the same. Launch Keychain Access and ensure that the login.keychain password reflects your new one.
